We are delighted to launch this website for our family of parishes at:
NorthsideParishes.ie
This website is a joint initiative of Clogheen-Kerry Pike Parish, Farranree Parish, Gurranabraher Parish and Knocknaheeny-Hollyhill Parish that we hope will allow parishioners easy and ready access to information about our various parishes or, at the very least, help them to know where they can get more information through our parish offices and priests of our family of parishes.
We hope that this website allows you to stay connected and up to date with all that is happening in each of our parishes. If this is your first visit, you are especially welcome. Please continue to visit us for up-to-date parish news, prayers, reflections and other resources. Thank you to Denis O’Regan of faithful.ie for his support in developing this website.

New Family of Parishes website is launchedAs we look towards the month of November, our thoughts turn once more to honouring our departed loved ones and praying for them
There is a wonderfully strong tradition in our parishes of gathering together as a community in each of our local cemeteries for the Annual Blessing of Graves during the first weeks of November.
This year, these services will take place as follows:
St Mary’s Cemetery – Curraghkippane
Sunday 1st November 2026 at 1:30pm
St Catherine’s Cemetery – Killcully
Sunday 8th November 2026 at 3:00pm
and we invite you to join us in remembering loved ones together.
We will publish the times for other cemeteries in the city in the coming weeks as the information becomes available to us.
We have loved them in life.
Let us honour them in death.
Annual Cemetery Prayers in our local cemeteries 2026
Welcome to NorthsideParishes.ie – the website for our family of parishes comprising the parishes of Clogheen-Kerry Pike, Farranree, Gurranabraher and Knocknaheeny-Hollyhill on the northside of Cork City.
In our family of parishes we seek to work together to contribute to building up a welcoming, caring, respectful and inclusive faith community where the values and teachings of Jesus are proclaimed, celebrated, witnessed to and lived.
All are welcome to join us as we seek to live out that mission, admittedly often imperfectly, through prayer, worship and our care for one another, especially the sick, the vulnerable, the lonely and the bereaved. In Matthew’s Gospel Jesus tells his disciples: ‘By your fruits you shall know them.’ [Matt 7:16] We believe that the true measure of any Christian community is to be found in the difference it makes in the lives of its people and we seek to be a force for good here on the northside of the city.
Whether you are new to our community or have been a parishioner for many years; whether you have fallen away from religious practice or you are a daily Mass-goer; whether you are critical of the Church or enthusiastic about your faith; whether you are seeking or questioning; please know that you are always welcome in our parish communities. We are all the richer when you are with us.
We hope that this website allows you to know more about our parishes and to access any information you may be looking for. We very much hope to see you soon.
Until then, in the words of the traditional Irish blessing, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
